How To Change Your Time Zone

After installing WordPress you might have noticed the time was wrong on your website. WordPress automatically installs with the UTC+0 time zone.

In this guide, I will be going over how to add your local time zone to your site. It’s very simple and can be done in just three steps.

Step #1:

After logging into your admin panel, click Settings on the menu to the left.

Step #2:

Once on the general settings page scroll down a bit and you should see a section labeled as “timezone”.

By clicking the drop-down box, you will have both locations and UTC. If you don’t know your exact UTC time zone, consider looking for a location that you know has the same time as you. For example, I live in Florida (which isn’t listed) but New York is and we’re both in the same time zone.

Step #3

Once you find your time zone, click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
